Reformed Congregation of Pécs-Kertváros
Organization of a Congregation has already started in 1983-1984, and in 1986 a congregation house was built. The first church service was held in the congregation room on the 20th September, 1987, which is regarded as the „birth” of the congregation. The building of their own church, based on the plans of Ernő Tillai, has started in 1989 and was finished in 1994. The two bells of the church were sanctified in October, 1998, with the following script: „Today, if You hear His voice, do not harden Your hearts!” , while the smaller bell has the following: "Soli Deo Gloria!"
The church of the Reformed Congregation of Pécs-Kertváros, in Tildy Zoltán street, will have the following innovations:
- Fitting of cassettes: Painting and fitting of 159 cassettes on the ceiling of the building, ensuring special vision. Cassettes were fitted in March, 2014.
- Organ: The organ will be placed in the liturgic space, facing the entrance, and ensure a unique concert experience after installation.
- Accessibility: Toilets on the lefts side of the building will be cleared of obstacles and compulsory information plats will also be fitted (Braille writing, signs supporting orientation placed and painted in the parking lot)
